Kyrie Irving’s new nickname is apparently ‘The Dark Knight’

KyrieTDK

After fracturing his jaw on Friday night, Kyrie became the next player in line to wear the black, eerie-looking Hannibal Lecter mask for precautionary reasons.

“I look like the Dark Knight with it on. That’s what they’re calling me in the locker room right now, the Dark Knight.”

I guess I sort of see it?  I don’t know.  Is Kobe his Ra’s al Ghul?  What I do know is that Irving is looking like a top 5 point guard in the NBA right now (CP3, Westbrook, Rondo, Parker, Irving).  Tonight he dropped a casual 41 points (a career-high) to go along with 5 reb, and 5 ast in a 1-point loss to the Knicks at The Garden.  He’s the hero Cleveland deserves, but not the one it needs…because he’ll probably end up on the Knicks.

Last night’s Timberwolves starting five had one thing in common last night…

For some reason I’m drawing a blank and I just can’t really put my finger on it.  But I really think that this pails in comparison to the lineup that will feature Ricky Rubio, who will certainly liven up this team up with some color.

Does Omer Asik have a random contingent of diehard fans?  Do people realize that Bynum, Stoudemire, Nowitzki, and Rubio have played a combined 0 games this season?  Pau Gasol with more votes than Marc Gasol?  Jeremy Lin in 3rd?  Where’s the Varejao love?  Shane Battier even being on one of these lists?  Here’s who I would have starting right now:
